Hey there and welcome to fantausaurusrex.com. I have been enjoying the thrill and frustration of fantasy football for 18 years. Holy shit, 2011 will be my 19th year. 19 years and I have loved every moment. Something has come to my attention over the last 18 years. I have learned that the "experts" out there are as much experts in fantasy football as turkey bacon is bacon. Experts schmexperts. You can't rightfully have the title of expert when your job is pure speculation and turkey bacon has no right using the word bacon in it's name. That being said I have decided to provide some of the insight that I've aquired over the years and get to experience another facet of fantasy football...blogging. Check in each week, I will be posting the name and stats of the top performer at each key position on the "Weekly Round-up" page. plus I will have the top 80 from 3 sources: nfl.com, espn.com and... well,uh...fantasaurusrex.com! A live scoreboard and interesting extras on my "Useful Stats" page too, not to mention a weekly blog. After week 1 my home page will be strictly blogs all other info needed will be found in their appropriate pages. This is my 19th year of fantasy football but my1st year blogging so have some fun,good luck to us all and thanks for stopping by.

I'll start off today by mentioning that I tried something new this year. Two words: Auction Draft. And I have to say that I am pretty pumped about it. Auction drafts, I've heard/read about them for years but they never seemed like my cup of tea. I don't know what I was thinking in the past but I am so glad I couldn't find a 16 team league to join (didn't look all that hard since I was itching for an online draft and quick) so I decided to give this old auction draft thingee a try and as of today I still haven't participated in a 16 team league and I may not for a while. Holy shit, how fun was that auction draft?? I wanted to do another one immediately after that one was finished. It took incredible will power to enter this season with only 1 auction draft team. I didn't want to mar the maiden voyage I guess. I have 3 teams this year but I felt only one of those should be via auction draft. Don't get me wrong, the tradtitional snake draft is the tits but I will definitely be doing an auction draft or 2 next year. Hell, I have 11 days to be haunted with the notion of drafting another team this year. And I am sure that draft will be an auction draft. So to all of you who haven't tried one yet I highly recommend it. For those who have...well...
